Ocean Kayaking, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing in La Paz, México

Kayaking is one of the best ways to enjoy the natural coastline of our unique Sea of Cortez. It is not necessary to be an expert kayaker because the waters that surround La Paz are very calm. There are special sites for swimming and snorkeling that can only be accessed by kayak.

A short journey will allow you to observe sea lions, dolphins, gigantic jumping manta rays, seagulls, pelicans, blue and brown-footed boobies, osprey, as well as colorful tropical fish. Kayaking gives you the extraordinary sensation of floating on air because of the transparency of the water. It is an opportunity to view the marvelous rock formations, caves and small islands from a completely different perspective.

For surfing enthusiasts, La Paz offers custom-made surfing beaches like Pescadero and Los Cerritos are only a few kilometers south of Todos Santos.

Windsurfing and kite surfing are activities that are slowly finding followers in the waters of La Paz. During the summer there are moderate winds, mostly in the afternoons. In the winter, the wind is continual, ideal for experienced athletes of these sports.
